I want to share with you a practical information about the means that e-commerce managers have in order to be successful.

I learned those means through my e-commerce strategy management class before getting my MBA degree.

Of course, as a manager, he/she has to have leadership traits, to be well-organized and a good communicator and negotiator (remember he/she has to fight, literally, for budget).

Well, to the point: The three T’s are: Tools, Techniques and Technologies. See below the detail of  each one :

  • SWOT analysis

  • Customer Relationship Management software

Techniques:

  • Marketing
  • Sales

Technologies:

  • Technical e-business architecture infrastructure
  • Hardware architecture
  • Software architecture
  • Network architecture
  • Database architecture
  • Application architecture
  • Security architecture
  • Internet, Intranet, extranet architecture

That is it, my friends. Three T’s you have to be well-versed, or as I say: To be willing to learn about them everyday.
