Five ideas to stimulate the economy

Posted: August 10, 2010 in General Thoughts

The US economic indicators show a weak recovery that anytime could lead us to a deep recession. The unemployment rate is keeping constant at an 9.5% and there is not any signal that allow us to think of a soon recovery.

In my personal opinion, the economic strategies should be stimulate internal consumption and investments. I do not see any different way to start our growth. No consumption spending, companies produce less, production shifts are reduced and labor costs are taken to the minimum, more layoffs and everyone is living from the unemployment assistance, more governmental spending, more debt or more taxes to finance the “social assistances”.

I do not know what they are seeing, but for me it is clear.

I’d like to know your thoughts. In the meantime I am posting a link where a reporter from Fortune magazine explains five ideas to stimulate the economy.

Success.
